Thanksgiving

A Daily Portion

Today, in the United States, we celebrate Thanksgiving. It is lovely to see how we all come together in one accord to give thanks to God for all we have, for our family, our friends, our food, our blessings. But, it is even lovelier when we decide to make our lifestyle into one of thanksgiving and gratefulness each and every day. As children of God, gratitude and thankfulness must be a constant characteristic in our lives. God's Word says: At all times and for everything giving thanks in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God the Father.  -Ephesians 5:20
When we live a lifestyle that has a constant grateful heart, a life of thanksgiving, even in the midst of the most challenging situations we can give thanks to our Father for His blessings, protection, provision... etc... etc..

On this day and always, may we have a heart full of praise and thanksgiving towards our Father. Especially today, I give thanks to God for your life, dear friend, you who joins me and my heart as you read these daily portions. Today I give thanks to God for you, because you are a great blessing and I declare over abundance in all that is yours! This is my heart's desire for you today and always:
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and [that your body] may keep well, even as [I know] your soul keeps well and prospers.  -3 John 1:2

Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will].
1 Thessalonians 5:18

Let us therefore, receiving a kingdom that is firm and stable and cannot be shaken, offer to God pleasing service and acceptable worship, with modesty and pious care and godly fear and awe...
-Hebrews 12:28

The Lord is my Strength and my [impenetrable] Shield; my heart trusts in, relies on, and confidently leans on Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song will I praise Him.  -Psalm 28:7

Oh, that men would praise [and confess to] the Lord for His goodness and loving-kindness and His wonderful works to the children of men! For He satisfies the longing soul and fills the hungry soul with good.  -Psalm 107:8-9

But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory [making us conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ.  -1 Corinthians 15:57

It is my prayer that this reflection be a part of your daily portion.

Finding Rest in Him

A Daily Portion

I felt led today to share some Scriptures that talk about His Rest. No matter what may be going on around us, we need to let our spirits rest in Him, the One who has it all under control. Speak to whatever is troubling you today; tell it to leave, tell it to go, because He is your Rock, your Shelter and your Peace! I declare peace over your heart, soul, mind and spirit and may your home be filled with His Presence and may you find rest in Him!

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.] Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls. For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good—not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne. - Matthew 11:28-30

For I will [fully] satisfy the weary soul, and I will replenish every languishing and sorrowful person.
-Jeremiah 31:25

For God alone my soul waits in silence; from Him comes my salvation.  He only is my Rock and my Salvation, my Defense and my Fortress, I shall not be greatly moved.  -Psalm 62:1-2

Return to your rest, O my soul, for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.  -Psalm 116:7

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand].  -Psalm 91:1

My people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, in safe dwellings, and in quiet resting-places.  -Isaiah 32:18

The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack. He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters. He refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him—not for my earning it, but] for His name’s sake.  -Psalm 23:1-3

Success Is Yours!

A Daily Portion

Continuing with the topic of Success, I want to share some Scriptures with you that talk about success. The one thing I want to stress is that it IS God's will for us to succeed, be blessed and have favor! This is something we need to be reminded of daily. Faith, not fear, will get us there and we need to know that God is on our side, He will bless and favor us, we are His children, and He wants only the best for us! As we continue to trust Him, trust His Word and follow His instructions, success will begin to bloom in our lives, in everything we touch, because that has been His plan and purpose all along!  And that is so amazing!!!

This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success. Have not I commanded you? Be strong, vigorous, and very courageous. Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. -Joshua 1:8-9

Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!) Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who fears (reveres and worships) the Lord, who delights greatly in His commandments. His [spiritual] offspring shall be mighty upon earth; the generation of the upright shall be blessed. Prosperity and welfare are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever.   -Psalms 112:1-3

May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed. May we shout for joy over your victory and lift up our banners in the name of our God.  May the Lord grant all your requests.
-Psalms 20:4-5

Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed.   -Proverbs 16:3

Then you will have success if you are careful to observe the decrees and laws that the Lord gave Moses for Israel. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged.   - 1 Chronicles 22:13

Remember that fear and discouragement are success and faith's enemy!  Lift up your head and Conquer!

It is my prayer that this reflection be a part of your daily portion.

Love & Blessings,
Michelle

Portion of Success

A Daily Portion

I was meditating this morning on some doors that God is opening in my life. As I meditated and gave thanks, along with gratefulness and awe at what God will be doing within the next few weeks, I suddenly felt some fear creep up in my spirit! I thought to myself, why am I like this? Why is it that every time I see God's hand in my life and ministry, fear creeps up and tries to steal what He is doing? Well, the answer is obvious and I don't want to dwell on fear and how the devil uses it to distract us and to try to destroy our purpose.  I began to look at Scriptures, feeling led to write about what I was feeling today. I came across Joshua 1:5-9. In this passage, Joshua is about to take Moses' place in leadership. God calls Joshua and tells him to go up over Jordan to the land He has promised them. After forty years in the desert, watching their leader die, I'm sure Joshua was overwhelmed with feelings and I know for a fact that fear was creeping up on him! How are we to have success in our daily life, when fear is constantly reminding us of so many things? Fear tells us we can't, we won't, who are we to try, what makes us think we will this time around, ... so many voices - fear telling us to just give up!  It happened to Joshua too! Read this carefully:

No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will not fail you or forsake you. Be strong (confident) and of good courage, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only you be strong and very courageous, that you may do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you. Turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success. Have not I commanded you? Be strong, vigorous, and very courageous. Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.  -Joshua 1:5-9

Not only did God tell Joshua what to do, he told him how to do it!  He gave him the "secret to success"! The secret of success is given in verses 5 through 9. GOD says "I will not fail you or forsake you". Joshua accepted Moses’ place of leadership without a single doubt! God’s will for him was his will, and he did not hesitate to do what He was asking. To go “all out” for God was already habitual with him; there was no doubting or second guessing...  and that is the unfailing prerequisite of eternal success! When fear and doubt come into the picture, there is no way we can succeed, not because God fails His promises, but because we are too busy seeing the fear and doubt, that we in turn forget that God's will for us should be our will, His purpose, our purpose and that there IS NO failing with God, for HE will not fail nor forsake us!  Yes, it's that easy!  That's the secret to success; to eternal success!

If we meditate on God's Word, His plans, purpose for us, plans to prosper us and not harm us, as Jeremiah 29:11 says, then that's the fail-proof way! There's no way to fail! He tells Joshua, and He tells us too, if we meditate and do according to all that's written, then we will make our ways prosperous; then we will have good success!  Because He is with us! He tells Joshua (and us) to be strong and courageous, to not be afraid because He is with us wherever we go!  Just reading that Scripture, reading those Words, hearing my Father tell me over and over again that He will never fail me, that He goes with me wherever I go, that is something I am uprooting deep into my heart and spirit. It is something I need to know, understand, believe, and live! It is of utmost importance to me, as I live my life and go about my daily routine, to know this; because then I know that success is mine and that I will prosper wherever I go and in all I do!

If fear and doubt have been getting the better of you, then I encourage you to read this Scripture over and over until it is in you, until you are walking in it and everything you do is based on this eternal success!  I declare all thoughts of fear and doubt gone in Jesus' name; and I speak success and prosperity over all you do! He will not forsake you; He will not fail you, grab hold of His plan for success in your life! Meditate on His Word, speak and do according to what His Word says,  and watch prosperity and favor follow you wherever you go! Now that makes me shout for joy!  HALLELUJAH!!!!

It is my prayer that this reflection be a part of your daily portion.

Love & Blessings,
Michelle

The Conquest!

A Daily Portion

I wanted to share some encouraging Scriptures and thoughts on the conquest and about us being conquerors. I feel we need to be motivated and encouraged to see past our current situation or the season we are living in, and realize that we are in constant pursuit of conquering our territory for the Kingdom. We cannot, we must not lose sight that we were created for a purpose and that purpose is to live our lives in worship to our King, and establish His Kingdom here on Earth. We have a mission, we are on a conquest and we ARE more than conquerors in Him! As you go throughout your day, may this be part of your daily portion, may these Scriptures lift you up, as you know you're not alone in your conquest; there are many of us on the same path and victory and triumph is ours!!

I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]  -John 16:33 [AMP]

Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victory through Him Who loved us.  -Romans 8:37 [AMP]

But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory [making us conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ.  -1 Corinthians 15:57

For the [true] love of God is this: that we do His commands [keep His ordinances and are mindful of His precepts and teaching]. And these orders of His are not irksome (burdensome, oppressive, or grievous). For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith. Who is it that is victorious over [that conquers] the world but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on that fact]?
-1 John 5:3-5   [AMP]

The conquest begins in the mind, then in the heart, until it becomes an action; intense pursuit and passion propel you to conquer!  Is your pursuit full of passion and conviction? Don't give up, you can conquer as long as your intense pursuit and passion are alive!

It is my prayer that this reflection be a part of your daily portion.

Love & Blessings,
Michelle

Portion of Pursuit

A Daily Portion

These last few days I have been hearing the word "pursuit".  I have felt the need to write about the pursuit of God, and although it's not my intention to go deep into this topic, I do want to write about what I feel God is speaking to not only me, but to those who are also in a pursuit of God and His presence at this moment.

Shun youthful lusts and flee from them, and aim at and pursue righteousness (all that is virtuous and good, right living, conformity to the will of God in thought, word, and deed); [and aim at and pursue] faith, love, [and] peace (harmony and concord with others) in fellowship with all [Christians], who call upon the Lord out of a pure heart.  -2 Timothy 2:22 [AMP]

Pursuit involves passion. We can't be in pursuit without having focus, conviction and passion. Why? Because eventually, all the effort of being in pursuit  will become more of a burden when the obstacles the enemy sends our way to make us lose focus from our pursuit become greater than what we originally were in pursuit of. When we begin a pursuit of God, His presence, His gifts, characteristics and virtue, we need to understand that it will not be easy because this means we are willing to look for, find and apply something new to our lives. It is not easy because we have an enemy that is always trying to distract us and to stop our advancement in our walk with God. Just as any other area in our lives, when we are in pursuit of something, we do not stop until we find it. We should not stop, lose focus, get tired,  or allow something to deter us from our pursuit of God, His love, righteousness, faith and peace, because we know this is necessary for us.

As human beings, we were created since birth with a desire to pursue intimacy, love and caring and the protection and nurturing of our parents. It is that characteristic that should also propel us to pursue God and have an intimacy with Him. I understand how difficult it is to maintain an active and intense pursuit, when there are so many daily situations that arise and try to distract us, but today, I want to tell you  that He is in constant pursuit of you. He pursues us daily; in each moment of our lives, He is looking over us. I heard this saying: "The work of a parent is never done, no matter if the child is 18, 30 or 50 years old." This is true, a parent is a parent forever. Just the same, our Father is our Father forever and He pursues a relationship with us. Sometimes, we, ourselves are the ones that deter and don't allow that relationship because we don't pursue Him fervently.

When we realize that the pursuit has nothing to do with us, but with God, and we allow Him to be glorified in us, it is then that we are completely satisfied and then the pursuit becomes a lifestyle centered around Christ. Today, I encourage you and tell you to continue in your pursuit because it is necessary; don't give up, continue in your pursuit to be closer to God's heart. Let Him be glorified in you and understand that this process is not about you, but about Him.

It is my prayer that this reflection be a part of your daily portion.

Love & Blessings,
Michelle

Portion of Triumph

A Daily Portion

But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high.  -Psalms 3:3

These past couple of weeks I have been reading a book by Joyce Meyer that talks about the mind being a battlefield, and how we should take control of our thoughts because the devil always wants to attack our mind with negative thoughts. I'm sure many of you have heard about the book and maybe even some have read it.  It's very good, she shares her experience in a simple and real way. There are so many treasures in that book, but I have felt the need, for the last few days, to write about having positive thoughts and not letting the devil attack us with negativity.

Psalms 3:3 says that God is our glory, and He lifts our head high! It's wonderful to know that God surrounds us! We can live in peace, knowing that God surrounds like like a shield. He lifts our head high! I like that version, because that's how we should always see it. He lifts our head high! Why? What does that have to do with negativity? Plenty! When we get depressed,  the word says it all de-pressed; press down, sink down... When negative thoughts come into our mind, suddenly the first thing that happens is that we lower our head, our face saddens and our body sinks down. And it's all because the negative thoughts are depressing us, and we know who wants to bring us down, the devil! But God never said we should allow that to happen. On the contrary, He said: And the Lord shall make you the head, and not the tail; and you shall be above only, and you shall not be beneath ... [Deut. 28:13] If it were not important, God would not mention it so much!

Lifting up the head, being above and not beneath, this is how God created us, how He made us to be. But what has happened is that the devil, trying to steal our identity, he always wants to confuse us, lie to us and depress us, so we don't have the will or want to live a victorious, triumphant life. The act of lifting the head means that we are secure, we are confident and we know who we are and where we are going. And the best part is that God is the One who lifts our head!! In the midst of the attack with depression, it is God who comes to lift our head, it is God who puts us above and not beneath and He has always done so! He not only lifts our head, but he lifts our mood, our heart, our hope, our attitude... Our strength comes from Him. He is our glory, He lifts us up!

We will always have those negative thought attacks. We will always have certain situations come into our lives, the ones that want to depress us and put us down, but we have to overcome them and confess with our mouth and our heart Psalm 3:3 and declare that it is God who lifts my head! In the middle of affliction and opression, He lifts my head! In the middle of sickness or crisis, He lifts my head. To be able to know and understand the strategies of the enemy, and to know that he is always looking for ways to destroy us is necessary in this battle, because if we are always alert to his strategies, we won't let the "downs" take control of us. When those "downs" come to your life, lift up your head and shout that God is your shield, He is your glory and the lifter of your head!!

I declare over your life victory and triumph! I declare that you rise up like never before and that you conquer those territories that seemed impossible before. I declare that your mind and your thoughts are full of peace and trust in Christ! Rise up, go and conquer, triumph is yours!

It is my prayer that this reflection be a part of your daily portion.

Love & Blessings,
Michelle

Portion of Hope

A Daily Portion

Originally written on March 21, 2012

For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome. -Jeremiah 29:11 [AMP]

As I prayed and talked with my Father this morning, I was declaring some Scriptures over my life, my family and my businesses; and as I started to pray in the spirit, my Father reminded me of this specific Scripture and I began to declare it. Suddenly, I felt His Presence ever so close to me and I knew He wanted to tell me something. I started crying and repeating this verse over and over and as I understood that He was visiting me then and there, I knew He wanted to be with me to let me know, to reassure me that what I was declaring (that He knew the plans He has for me, and that they are plans for good and not evil) is a truth that NEVER changes, that it's a promise He has given and He fulfills it.

But, what He then showed me, as tears ran down my face and as I groaned in my spirit, is something that I will never forget and that I immediately knew I must share. He showed me a sadness, burden, heaviness because not many people understand this Word and Promise as He had revealed it to me at that moment. As I wept, he was showing me such a loving side to Him, a real, and true and pure Love, a Love that does not hurt, nor wound, nor destroys; and He showed me that there are people, that even though they love Him, they have not yet been able to understand that type of Love that our Father has for us. They have not yet understood that that Scripture has such great meaning. They cannot understand it, because in their lives, in their minds, they have so much hurt and so much confusion that they believe that the circumstances and situations they have gone through, are a result of a God that has hurt them. As I saw at what He was showing me, I could hear Him say that if we all would be able to fathom His Love and His Plans for good for us, and if we could be able to trust that His plans are the best ones for our lives, our days would be easy days, happy days, joyous days and blessed days... If we could understand that this Scripture is a key to His love for us; not only be able to read it and believe it but also understand it, see it, make it a reality, make it our own, we would come before His Presence acknowledging all the times we have been wrong to blame Him for what has happened to us. We would come to Him and ask Him to forgive us for thinking He has hurt us. We would just simply allow Him to heal all our wounds, allow Him to hug us and show us that
He truly HAS plans for us, plans that will completely transform us!

What happens is that the devil comes to play with our thoughts, he comes to destroy and lie to us. Sadly, the majority of the time we tend to think that God was the one that hurt us. It's happened to me; I have thought at one time that all our financial problems we were facing were due to the fact that God did not want to bless us! Can you see how confused my mind was? If my Father tells me in His Word that He knows the plans He has for me, plans for good and not evil, plans for a prosperous future, then how can I think that even though He said that, He wants to do the opposite in my life? I think we all know where that lie came from...

As I talked with Him and He showed me all of this, I knew that this revelation had to be shared because I know there are many people that are going through so many different situations and today, God wants to tell you that His plans for you are for good and not evil; they are plans for a better and prosperous future. Don't let the enemy come to lie to you and confuse you, or take away your vision of a prosperous and better future, full of hope, favor and blessing. The devil has taken on the duty of distracting us from looking to God and has given us fake "lenses", in which we can't see God in His true form, we can't know Him and who He truly is. Today, I just want to share with you the experience I had with my Father this morning and I want you to know it was real; His presence poured into the room and He only came to tell me that He loves me, that He wants to bless me and for me to continue trusting completely in His plans for my life. And, now, I say to you, let His Presence flood your heart and trust in His plans and purpose for your life, because they are all for good and to bless you. He has promised it, His love is so grand, let Him embrace you today and let Him whisper to your ear.

It is my prayer that this reflection be a part of your daily portion.

Love & Blessings,
Michelle

Portion of Faith

A Daily Portion

Originally written on March 20, 2012

The last time I wrote, I felt so happy and joyous and blessed! It's something I can't describe, but all I know is that writing is one of my passions and I will continue to do so... This morning as I was reading a book and meditating on some Scriptures from the Bible, I knew that today's portion would be a bit different. Today, I want to encourage ourselves with Scriptures that help us to keep striving forward, trusting in God, helping us grow our faith and deliver us from the spirit of fear, confusion and unbelief. Each time I write a portion, it's because God uses it as my daily portion of encouragement with His revelation and He gives it to me to share with you, in hopes that as it has blessed my life, it will also bless others. Let's meditate on these Scriptures and let's make them a reality in order to conquer the doubt and fear the devil puts in our thoughts, and in order to help grow our faith!

May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope. -Romans 15:13

Therefore I tell you, stop being perpetually uneasy (anxious and worried) about your life, what you shall eat or what you shall drink; or about your body, what you shall put on. Is not life greater [in quality] than food, and the body [far above and more excellent] than clothing? Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father keeps feeding them. Are you not worth much more than they? And who of you by worrying and being anxious can add one unit of measure (cubit) to his stature or to the span of his life? And why should you be anxious about clothes? Consider the lilies of the field and learn thoroughly how they grow; they neither toil nor spin. Yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his magnificence (excellence, dignity, and grace) was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and green and tomorrow is tossed into the furnace, will He not much more surely clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not worry and be anxious, saying, What are we going to have to eat? or, What are we going to have to drink? or, What are we going to have to wear? For the Gentiles (heathen) wish for and crave and diligently seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows well that you need them all. But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides. So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble. - Matthew 5:25-34

Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. -Philippians 4:6

For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds, [Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One)... - 2 Corinthians 10:4-5

Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.] -John 14:27

Trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) in the Lord and do good; so shall you dwell in the land and feed surely on His faithfulness, and truly you shall be fed.  Psalms 37:3

It is my desire that we can put our complete Faith in God and His Kingdom so that we may be able to see His blessings poured out over our lives!

It is my prayer that this reflection be a part of your daily portion.

Love & Blessings,
Michelle

The Portion of March 16, 2012

A Daily Portion

Originally written on March 16, 2012

Here I am again, writing once more... I have so much to say, I don't know where to begin. :)

I was thinking about my life and the changes that I am living in my lifestyle, and it's all for God's Glory! Physical changes, emotional, mental and above all, spiritual changes. We are entering into a new level, a deeper level of learning more about the Kingdom of God and how to bring it here to earth so that it not only is a blessing to my family, but to all those who surround us. And, as I mediated today on certain Scriptures in the Bible and I thought about my own journey, the one I am still on today, something came to mind and I want to share it. I hope this encourages someone, because I have learned that when someone shares their experiences with others, there are many times that the simple fact of sharing brings a revelation to the life of someone God puts in the path and those shared words fall fresh like fresh water in the moment it is needed most.

About two weeks ago, we were listening to a Pastor talk about the Kingdom of God; it was a workshop we attended, a powerful workshop and there were many pearls of wisdom we received; but in the midst of all that wisdom being imparted, something I wrote down and want to share with you is a phrase that Pastor said, while he spoke about the attacks the devil brings to our lives, and that those attacks are specifically sent so that we, as Kingdom Ambassadors, will never fully or completely be able to fulfill our call or mission here on earth; which is to bring freedom to the oppressed and bring healing to the sick and proclaim God's year of goodness to all. Basically, how will be able to share the Good News to the afflicted, if we ourselves are always being attacked with sickness, lack, depression, unbelief, and double-mindedness... and there's so much more we can add to this list.  The Pastor continued saying this phrase: God has delivered us to that conflict (with the devil) so that we can conquer and posses and have dominion over the territory that He wants us to occupy in the Kingdom. Yes, you read it correctly. We ask for deliverance from bondage, deliverance from confusion, oppression and when God comes and delivers us, immediately we enter into conflict with the enemy, because He does not want us to enter into that territory of conquest and dominion! So, when we are going through those difficult moments in conflict, that is where we ask ourselves, but God, why is this coming now? If I have been doing all that You have asked me to, and I am proclaiming my deliverance and freedom, why are these conflicts arising now? What we are not realizing is that God had delivered us into these conflicts so that we can attain possession of that specific territory that He wants to give us for His glory in His Kingdom!

I am going through various conflicts in my personal life, and I have been able to understand that the point of it all is that my Father wants to give me full dominion over these areas within the Kingdom. We are fighting to conquer new territories, since we have asked Him to enlarge our territory and at times we think that by asking it will just come, just like that. A conquest does not happen without a battle over territory. The lies of the pig-dog is to make you think that you are losing it all by being in conflict, but what you need to remember is that it is not possible to lose it all when you are part of the Kingdom, because it is all yours already! You have it all already! He has given it to you! Then, it is in the midst of the conflict, when you are battling to conquer and possess your territory, that you can't think that you're losing it all, you need to think and remember that God want's to deliver and give you that territory, to have it under your dominion, so taht you can manifest it in His Kingdom!

There are so many people who have talked about "paying the price" and that the "price" means certain things to them... "I am paying the price for serving the Lord"... For me, as I meditate on this, and as I receive God's revelation, I can realize that "the price" we have paid (and I am talking about my own personal experience with my family, this does not mean that I am generalizing, I am just sharing my experience) is not the "sacrifice" of what we have layed down, given or surrendered for Him. The price we have paid, is the conflict that we have entered into and we have entered into it knowing what it would cost, but we entered into it in order to conquer the territories that He said would be ours! The price that we are paying, or the sacrifice we are living is the conflict! And, as we understand it this way, as we understand that going through this conflict will bring me into a new level of dominion within the Kingdom, it gives me strength to keep fighting and endure this conflict, and it gives me the desire to continue to stomp the pig-dog's head and bring the Kingdom here, now and see His Power and Glory manifested!

Think about the conflict you have entered into, and then think about the territory you will conquer once you come out of the conflict, ready to have dominion over that area for God, and for those surrounding you, those that you will bless when you come to possess that territory! Personally, I know that part of our territory will be to help change minds and thoughts from slaves and bondage into conquerors, with our own testimony within the Kingdom... and since I have that vision very clear, I know that the present conflict will only last for a short time and then I will have the conquest! And I will be able to shout for the victory because it's coming soon! Hallelujah!

"The Lord God is my Strength, my personal bravery, and my invincible army; He makes my feet like hinds’ feet and will make me to walk [not to stand still in terror, but to walk] and make [spiritual] progress upon my high places [of trouble, suffering, or responsibility]!" -Habakkuk 3:19
Declare this Word over your conflict and fly to those high places with your Savior and see how you become a conqueror!

It is my prayer that this reflection be a part of your daily portion.

Love & Blessings,
Michelle

The Portion of March 8, 2012

A Daily Portion

Originally written March 8, 2012

As I was praying this week, I immediately knew that God was telling me that one of the purposes for which He has called me and put me here as a representative of His Kingdom, is to help others, to give them His Word. Well, let me re-phrase it, this is something He reminded me, because He had revealed this to me a long time ago, but due to the circumstances and situations life presents at times, which many of them are obstacles from the devil himself sent to distract us and for us to lose focus on the call God has for our lives, I had forgotten that revelation, and I was beginning to get used to a life where I no longer would write, as I had done before. In the midst of my prayer with my Daddy, I heard Him say "Write. Write again." And I received those words, and I meditated on His Word; but as I did that, the same thoughts would saturate my mind (thoughts that did not come from Him), 'why am I going to begin to write again, who will this help?' But, even as those thoughts came to my mind, trying to distract me and make me lose focus once again, I held on strong to those precious words that my Father had whispered to me, that He had placed me here to help and encourage and edify His people. "Write. Write again."

And I find myself here, again, sitting in front of my computer, coming back to a place in my life where I felt happy, when I would write and share the fresh revelations that He would give me. You don't know how much joy it gives me to write again. And, really, I'm not worried if this will help or encourage someone or not; if He told me to do so, then I will do so, and with joy in my heart will I do it!

I was reading His Word this morning, and I found this scripture that I am going to share with you. I will be honest, I don't remember if I had already read this before... it was as if a fresh, stream of water was filling my heart and my spirit as I read it today. For me, in my innermost being, it was the very first time I read this passage and it was like meeting for the very first time a new love! And oh how lovely it feels when God gives you His Word and He gives it to you as a revelation for your life, for the NOW, for a Rhema moment where He opens your eyes, your spirit and understanding so that you may know Him more in a deeper and more intimate manner!

You may ask yourself what is the Scripture I am talking about. I want you to read it slowly, I want you to meditate on it with your heart, re-read it a few more times until you understand, feel and see what He is telling you: "And therefore the Lord [earnestly] waits [expecting, looking, and longing] to be gracious to you; and therefore He lifts Himself up, that He may have mercy on you and show loving-kindness to you. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are all those who [earnestly] wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him [for His victory, His favor, His love, His peace, His joy, and His matchless, unbroken companionship]!"  Isaiah 30:18 [AMP]

Did you hear that? He is LONGING to show you His Love. He waits for us, expecting and looking for us to come to Him so He can show us His Grace, His Love, His Mercy, and His Justice! We are blessed, all of us who wait for Him! Could it be true that He awaits each morning for us to come before His Presence and talk with Him? Could it be that He is anxiously awaiting to bless us with His grace and favor and His mercies and forgiveness? I am not telling you yes, He, himself is telling you that He is!!!

To read these Words and know that my Father awaits for me is like a child that has a secret, good news to share and can't contain his joy or happiness and wants to yell it to the whole world... like a child that has received a gift that he really wanted and wants to show everyone, he can't keep quiet or keep it hidden... I can imagine my Daddy like that, each morning anxiously awaiting to bless me, wanting to give me His grace and favor, waiting for that moment where I come into His presence and say, Daddy, here I am, I've come to tell You how much I love you, how much I need your favor, forgiveness, grace...  How do you feel in knowing that He waits for you, to bless and favor you, to give you His grace and love? I am overjoyed and full of peace in knowing that THAT'S my Daddy, who crowns me with favor and blessings!

As you can see, I can't keep what He told me this morning all to myself. I had to share it with you, because just as it has been a refreshing revelation to my spirit, I know that it will be also to your life. Forget about the situations the devil has been trying to get you to remember or stay focused on, just concentrate and meditate on how your Daddy awaits to bless you. He awaits for you to go to Him and receive what He has for you. We are blessed! Seek His Victory, His Peace, His Joy... Be a conqueror, He has created us to conquer!

And therefore the Lord [earnestly] waits [expecting, looking, and longing] to be gracious to you; and therefore He lifts Himself up, that He may have mercy on you and show loving-kindness to you. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are all those who [earnestly] wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him [for His victory, His favor, His love, His peace, His joy, and His matchless, unbroken companionship]!  Isaiah 30:18 [AMP]

It is my prayer that this reflection be a part of your daily portion.

Love & Blessings,

Michelle

Portion of Example

A Daily Portion

The time of the year when we honor and celebrate Mothers has come once again. And, as I sat this morning and thought about the women who have impacted me, I received a message from a former student of mine, who will be a Mommy for the second time!  She was thanking me for having impacted her life! And so, I began to think about our call within the kingdom, as women, mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, and just about any other role we can have! It brought me to this quote from Maria Woodworth Etter:

"My dear sister in Christ, as you hear these words may the Spirit of Christ come upon you, and make you willing to do the work of the Lord has assigned you. It is high time for women to let their light shine; to bring out their talents that have been hidden away rusting; and use them for the glory of God, and do with their might what their hands find to do, trusting God for strength, Who has said "I will never leave you". Let us not plead weakness; God will use the weak things of the world to confound the wise. We are sons and daughters of the Most High God. Should we not honour our high calling and do all we can to save those who sit in the valley and shadow of death? Did He not send Moses, Aaron - Miriam to be your leaders? The Lord raised up men, women and children of His own choosing. Is it less becoming for women to labour in Christ's kingdom and vineyard now as it was then?"  -Maria Woodworth Etter

I believe we have a great call and ministry in our lives, as Mothers. We were created to let our light shine, bring forth the hidden talents we have and use them for His glory, in His Kingdom, to therefore bring forth the talents in so many others that we can daily impact!  I am so grateful to God for all the people He has put in my path at one time or another, for the words He gave me to give to them at a certain time in their lives, whether they received it or not at the time, I know He used me for His glory. And, as I think of my former students and former people under my leadership at a given time, as well as friends, God brings my thoughts back to focus on my family.

Am I using my talents for His glory with my family? Can my daughters see their strengths or weaknesses through me? Is my light shining in my home with my girls and my husband?  As women and mothers, may we never forget that as daughters of the Most High, our family is our priority and my constant prayer is that I can always speak to my family with wisdom, offer words of love, encouragement and edification during times of needs, but most importantly, may I always lead by example. Woman you are the crowned jewel of your Daddy's creation! You have a big responsibility, an even bigger calling, but an even bigger Creator who is with you, who has promised never to leave you! As we celebrate this Mother's Day, let me just remind you how special you are to so many who love you! Let me remind you there are many who look up to you and who see themselves in you! As Maria Woodworth Etter said, let your light shine for the glory of God and allow Him to fulfill  His purpose in your calling!! I am right there with you, let's let Him use us today and be a blessing to someone!

"It takes wisdom to have a good family, and it takes understanding to make it strong.  It takes knowledge to fill a home with rare and beautiful treasures. "  -Proverbs 24:3-4

It is my prayer that this reflection be a part of your daily portion.

Love & Blessings,
Michelle

The Third "Daily Portion"

A Daily Portion

Originally written on the 13th of September, 2008, titled "The Third Daily Portion".

If we can fully understand that our calling as sons and daughters of God is to go and preach the gospel, the good news, the year of our Lord, go heal the sick, free those in bondage, restore the afflicted, then we can surely understand that, while doing this, we are declaring God's Kingdom in our midst; we are establishing it and we are building it as a Righteous, True and Absolute Government. If we can fully come to a complete understanding of this, we must also understand that we, as women, have a great call within this establishment and fulfilling of His Kingdom and His call for our lives and ministries.

The Lord tells us in His Word, in Matthew 9:38  "Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” As we understand our call to ministry and as we begin to feel God's desire that His fields be tended to by workers, we, as women should rise up to that call and answer: HERE I AM!  As I read and reflected over another preaching by  Maria Woodworth Etter, it became very obvious to me that the woman has been called to a Service within God's Kingdom throughout all of history and it's time that we rise up and let our light shine in the midst of the darkness and that we allow our gifts and talents that were given to us since our creation to be brought out, activated and put forth to His use for His glory!

Women, we need to wake up and grab hold of the Kingdom, and establish it because there are so many who are dying, who are blinded, bound, deceived, shackled; meanwhile, the solution to all of this is found in an absolute truth: Abundant Life in Christ, His Redemption and Salvation!  He is so good! Women, the multitudes await us; they await for us to arrive and shed Light, Hope, Peace and Faith... We need to open our eyes and realize that the enemy is always trying to distract us, get us out of focus with obstacles, so that we are not effective in the Kingdom, but our response to this must be the same as Nehemiah's response: “I am carrying on a great project and cannot go down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and go down to you?”(6:3) We are commissioned by the King of Kings and Governor of the Kingdom to finish a big and arduous labor, which requires us to be willing, able and alert and occupied at all times! May we be inspired Divinely by His Spirit to Serve Him at all times and establish His Kingdom here among us!

Blessings!!

The second "Daily Portion"

A Daily Portion

Originally published on September 12, 2008, titled "Daily Portion #2"

The apostles performed many signs and wonders among the people..."  Acts 5:12 [NIV]

When we are confronted with Jesus Christ's Truth under the Kingdom, and His Righteousness, it is necessary to understand that we will suffer persecution if we are to believe, practice and follow this Truth just as Christ desires us to do so.

Meditating on the words of one of Maria Woodworth Etter's preaching, it is quite interesting to see the decision that the apostles made when presented a call to live a life either under religion of under the Kingdom. The apostles were thrown in jail as a result of the reaction to the Authority and Power manifested in the miracles and wonders they did among the people. They had to choose between religion or Kingdom. They knew if they chose religion, and denied the Authority and Power, they would have no problem and the persecution would end.  But they chose the Kingdom and His Righteousness and they decided to preach the Word even if the end result was death. They asked the Lord:   "Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”  (Acts 4:29-30)

When the apostles decided to bring the Kingdom to Earth, they knew that each preaching would have to be accompanied with signs and wonders, God's very presence there with them, confirming their message. Multitudes began to run to where they were, seeking His Presence and promise of freedom, healing and restoration. And the signs, miracles and wonders continued and followed them because they had established God's Kingdom in the midst of a dry and needy place. May we also ask for Your signs, wonders and miracles, Oh Lord, the Power of Your Spirit confirming Your Word of Redemption and Love.

Blessings!!

The first "Daily Portion"

A Daily Portion

This was my first writing I did, which I titled "Daily Portion #1". It was originally written on the 15th of August of 2008.  As you can all see, it's been a while since I've been writing; but it's even been more time that I let pass without writing due to the obstacles that the pig dog enemy put in my way, such as doubt, so that I wouldn't keep writing! But, here it is, the beginning of the "Daily Portions" !!

"Truth is the most highest level of reality."
~Apostle Guillermo Maldonado

We should ask ourselves on what truth is our lives based on? On an absolute truth that is true, or on a synthetic or relative "reality" that does not accept truth, but accepts gray lies that look like truths and are meant to trick the One true Truth that is the Unshakable Kingdom of Jesus Christ?  What reality or truth do those you surround yourself with, base themselves on? On realities of shades of gray or on a truth that is black or white with no room for gray, the One Absolute Truth: Jesus Christ, the only way, truth and life?  It's time we leave behind our philosophies and religions and we take hold of the Unshakable Kingdom of Christ, the Absolute Truth that never changes! Then, and only then, will we march to proclaim the Absolute Truth of God's Kingdom to the world, knowing that if our lives and churches are based on the Absolute Truth, we can impact and transform those that have been deceived and those that are bound and searching desperately for a change, and we'll see God's Glory manifested.

May you be able to say without a doubt that your life and ministry is based on the highest level of truth!

MY TRUTH IS JESUS CHRIST!

Acts 4:12  [NIV]

"Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

Lead by example... whether it's through love or offense?

A Daily Portion

Originally written and published August 28, 2009 while I was pastoring and ministering the congregation God had given us at that time.

I wanted to write a little something regarding a topic that I am now seeing more and more in the Body of Christ. I have a very hard time with people who are leading by example in their call, but hurt and offend others with their actions and words... I am talking about sarcasm. It's sad to see how much sarcasm is found in the Body of Christ. Sarcasm may easily be tried to be defined as a literary device, or as a high form of intelligence, but when we look at its root, we find that sarcasm comes from "French or Late Latin; French sarcasme, from Late Latin sarcasmos, from Greek sarkasmos, from sarkazein" and it means "to tear flesh, bite the lips in rage, sneer..." All my life I have come across people who are sarcastic in everything they say, and we are basically told that, 'oh that's just their way of being'... or, 'oh, it's a clever way of telling people truths without them even realizing what you are doing'... the truth of the matter is, there should be no excuse as to why someone would need to use sarcasm to get a message across to someone else. The Bible teaches us that we should: "Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone." ~Colossians 4:5-7
"Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing." ~Proverbs 12:18

This leads me to believe that sarcasm lacks wisdom, for if we were wise in the ways the Lord wants us to act and speak, we would do so in authority, in love and to edify, not to tear, pierce, hurt or offend. Why am I writing about this? Because I have had to give this part of my flesh up to the Lord daily. I too, used to be sarcastic, very sarcastic, and was always praised at how "good I was at being sarcastic". I even considered it one of my "strengths". Wow! Now, when I look back, first I realize I need to submit this unto the Lord every day, because the old man would love to come out once in a while... but what I realize even more is that there are many leaders in the Body of Christ who are like this, who speak like this and what's even more scary is that we are training those under our leadership, to speak and act this way!

I just think it's time to reflect on ourselves and consider why we speak the way we do; why we act the way we do; and give it all up to Christ, knowing that when we crucify our flesh, this raw meat of ours that will get us nowhere, we humble ourselves in wanting to be more like Him, like His image! I once read somewhere that we use sarcasm as a defense mechanism due to our own self esteem issues, and when I read that, I got offended. Can you guess why? :) Because it was a truth that hit home... And, as I have become more aware of how sarcasm and hypocrisy work well together, I see it's such a scheming and dangerous spirit that wants to destroy instead of edify and we have allowed it to get into our churches and as teachers and preachers and leaders we are educating our disciples and passing along this negative influence. Instead of just smiling and laughing "with" our leaders who are "aggressive and sarcastic" why don't we begin to lead in example of wisdom and authority we have received through Christ's blood and resurrection on the cross, and through the marvelous power of the Holy Spirit dwelling in each and every one of us? That way we can really begin to be imitators of Christ and be like Him, in His image! I know I have learned my lesson and ask for wisdom every day!

Blessings to all who read this. These are just my thoughts and I hope this serves as a help to others who may be thinking the same as I have.
