Portion of Determination

Originally written and published in Spanish on December 17, 2012

When we understand that we have been called to establish the Kingdom of God on earth, when we understand that we will be in constant warfare against the enemy precisely because we were created with a purpose, to enlarge His Kingdom, to establish it and to bring freedom to the oppressed; when we understand that we will face these types of attacks in our daily lives, it is then we realize that we need to fill ourselves with faith and determination, it is imperative! Such faith and absolute determination to be able to conquer certain territories for the Lord. It is necessary to be filled of the Word of God that nurtures us, encourages us and fills us so that we can be conquerors, to be sons and daughters of faith, to be bold and have such boldness that leads us to conquer, establish His Kingdom, heal the sick, bring freedom to the captive...  I once heard a pastor speak of such determination and absolute faith, one that brings us to conquer. A bold faith and determination, which is what God is looking for in His children. A type of faith and determination, that no matter what circumstances are surrounding us, no matter what we perceive in the natural, it pushes us and challenges us to reach those blessings God has, to reach the depths of His heart to receive the answers we desire, to see the call He has placed in our hearts fulfilled.

Today I want to share with you these Scriptures so that they can raise our determination so that we will be able to see in the spirit and that we can call what is not as if it were... So that we can be a people determined to see God's Kingdom established on earth with signs, miracles and wonders... May we unsettle this world and be agents of change for Christ!

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be firm (steadfast), immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord [always being superior, excelling, doing more than enough in the service of the Lord], knowing and being continually aware that your labor in the Lord is not futile [it is never wasted or to no purpose].
-1 Corinthians 15:58

However, we possess this precious treasure [the divine Light of the Gospel] in [frail, human] vessels of earth, that the grandeur and exceeding greatness of the power may be shown to be from God and not from ourselves. We are hedged in (pressed) on every side [troubled and oppressed in every way], but not cramped or crushed; we suffer embarrassments and are perplexed and unable to find a way out, but not driven to despair; We are pursued (persecuted and hard driven), but not deserted [to stand alone]; we are struck down to the ground, but never struck out and destroyed...  -2 Corinthians 4:7-9

For the Lord God helps Me; therefore have I not been ashamed or confounded. Therefore have I set My face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be put to shame. -Isaiah 50:7

Be strong, therefore, and let not your hands be weak and slack, for your work shall be rewarded.

And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint. -Galatians 6:9

He only is my Rock and my Salvation; He is my Defense and my Fortress, I shall not be moved.

Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour.
Withstand him; be firm in faith [against his onset—rooted, established, strong, immovable, and determined], knowing that the same (identical) sufferings are appointed to your brotherhood (the whole body of Christians) throughout the world... -1 Peter 5:8-9

Today I declare that your eyes are opened to each attack that the enemy will send to your life, that no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper and that you are filled with determination, passion, boldness to answer your call and purpose for which you were created. I declare that you put much effort in all you do and that you don't faint or lose heart until you see in the natural what you've been seeing in the spiritual.  Get up and conquer!

It is my prayer that this reflection be a part of your daily portion.

Love & Blessings,
Michelle

The second "Daily Portion"

A Daily Portion

The apostles performed many signs and wonders among the people..."  Acts 5:12 [NIV]

When we are confronted with Jesus Christ's Truth under the Kingdom, and His Righteousness, it is necessary to understand that we will suffer persecution if we are to believe, practice and follow this Truth just as Christ desires us to do so.

Meditating on the words of one of Maria Woodworth Etter's preaching, it is quite interesting to see the decision that the apostles made when presented a call to live a life either under religion of under the Kingdom. The apostles were thrown in jail as a result of the reaction to the Authority and Power manifested in the miracles and wonders they did among the people. They had to choose between religion or Kingdom. They knew if they chose religion, and denied the Authority and Power, they would have no problem and the persecution would end.  But they chose the Kingdom and His Righteousness and they decided to preach the Word even if the end result was death. They asked the Lord:   "Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”  (Acts 4:29-30)

When the apostles decided to bring the Kingdom to Earth, they knew that each preaching would have to be accompanied with signs and wonders, God's very presence there with them, confirming their message. Multitudes began to run to where they were, seeking His Presence and promise of freedom, healing and restoration. And the signs, miracles and wonders continued and followed them because they had established God's Kingdom in the midst of a dry and needy place. May we also ask for Your signs, wonders and miracles, Oh Lord, the Power of Your Spirit confirming Your Word of Redemption and Love.

Blessings!!
