Those who trust in, lean on, and confidently hope in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but abides and stands fast forever. As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about His people from this time forth and forever. -Psalm 125:1-2
Trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) in the Lord and do good; so shall you dwell in the land and feed surely on His faithfulness, and truly you shall be fed. -Psalm 37:3
So trust in the Lord
(commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope confidently in Him) forever;
for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages]. -Isaiah 26:4
Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who makes the Lord his refuge and trust, and turns not to the proud or to followers of false gods. -Psalm 40:4
[Most] blessed is the man who believes in, trusts in, and relies on the Lord, and whose hope and confidence the Lord is. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters that spreads out its roots by the river; and it shall not see and fear when heat comes; but its leaf shall be green. It shall not be anxious and full of care in the year of drought, nor shall it cease yielding fruit. -Jeremiah 17:7-8
He who is of a greedy spirit stirs up strife, but he who puts his trust in the Lord shall be enriched and blessed. -Proverbs 28:25
May the God of your hope
so fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience
of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope. -Romans 15:13
